Week 3

This week we visited Northbridge and took some photos that illustrated our feelings about social justice issues. This week was CHOGM and there was not a homeless person to be seen. The city gardens looked amazing.
How did you feel about the flowers replacing the homeless for those few days?

We saw a man who was carrying a sleeping bag crossing the street on St George's Terrace and as he got to us a police vehicle mounted the kerb. The police questioned him, took his possessions and placed him in the vehicle. Where did he go and what happened to him?
Who makes the call and what is the criteria for deciding who to 'round up' ?

We went to Willetton to do a drumming session with people who had acquired brain injuries. it was confronting to speak to people whose lives had been greatly affected by accidents  and often circumstances not entirely of their own making like car accidents where they were the passenger.

We went outside our comfort zone and visited Wheelchair Sports at Mirrabooka to have a go at wheel chair basketball. We heard the stories of the people affected by spinal injury.
Does losing something make you compensate in other areas?
